In recent months, our recruitment team has opened 363 IT vacancies in Portugal and Brazil through our internal platform, Diana. We received 8,924 applications for these positions, which allows us to draw a very accurate picture of the current movement in the tech job market. These numbers reflect what we see daily in our interviews and selection processes.
Which IT areas have the most open vacancies right now?
Back-end development leads our demand with 24 open positions, representing 7% of the total volume. Close behind, Cloud and Infrastructure areas account for 18 positions, while Data Engineering has 17 vacancies. We also observe a significant weight for SAP profiles with 12 vacancies and Information Security with 11. Areas such as Business Analyst and Product Management occupy 8 vacancies each, followed by DevOps and SRE with 7. These data show that the need for technical skills in infrastructure and data management remains the foundation of most of the hiring we do.
Where and how are tech teams working?
The work model is the clearest point in our data. The hybrid model dominates 78% of our offers, totaling 283 vacancies. Remote work represents 21% of the total, with 75 positions available. The on-site model is residual, with only 1% of positions, or 4 vacancies. This distribution shows that companies maintain the office as a necessary meeting point, but flexibility in time management is now the standard expected by professionals.
For those looking for a new opportunity, these numbers indicate that the market values versatile profiles in Cloud and Data, but requires a clear adaptation to the hybrid model. For companies, the high rate of applications per vacancy suggests that the challenge is not just finding talent, but filtering rigorously among the thousands of professionals who reach out to us. Our internal analysis confirms that hiring success depends on a direct alignment between the required technical specialization and the flexibility offered in the work model.
